Towards A Sustainable Forest Ecosystem Through Research, Cooperation and Networking

As a result of excessive deforestation and illegal logging that have been going on for decades, there is a growing concern not only among world leaders and environmentalists but also among the civil society at large to preserve and conserve the remaining pristine tropical rainforests of the world. These forests, mainly found in the Amazon, Congo and Asia-Pacific regions are globally significant repositories of biodiversity and stored carbon. All efforts at various levels including International Bodies, Governments, Policy Makers, NGOs, Environmentalists, Corporates, and Public Sectors must act together to look at preserving and conserving these forests before it is too late.
